The game is full of life and factions and everything is about to explode right before you enter the scene.

The world doesn't feel post nuclear and the setting overall reminds me of more known games where one is the great decider of everything. I am off to be the superhero of this game. New Vegas feels more like other games I played, I even like to compare it to mass effect 2 a bit, basically some guy shouts at me "you need to fight! Here is your gun now go and change the world!" and boo. (as much as that can be true in a game where one is the main character) I am a random character, defining my own story and not relevant to the world. It feels as if I am more of an observer to the status quo, who pops by and helps people (or murders them) but ultimately can't change the outcome of this city from a forgotten past. Walking through the ruins of DC gives me the feeling of truly being immersed in a devastated world, where humanity is still recovering (if TT even can) or fighting for survival. Iny opinion the one area where fnv falls clearly short, and the area I enjoy the most, is the atmosphere and overall setting of the game.

The story, combat (hate the assault rifles in fo3 and how they handle), the factions and so on, so much is better in fnv. Which seems odd to me, as fnv improves basically every aspect of the game. I deliberated for a while until I decided to pick fo3. After reminiscing about the enjoyment I have had in all 3 Bethesda fallout singleplayer games, I decided to finally reinstall either fo3 or fnv.
